Description
The English Walnut jewellery box has a highly figured, decorative lid showing off the warm tones of this beautiful wood. The craftsmanship in the making of the piece can be seen in the hand-cut dovetails on each corner. Inside the box is lined with English Cherry, which has a subtle sweet scent and a removable tray which is made from Walnut and Cherry,with a suede lining.
The box is finished with French polish with a final coat of beeswax.
Beautiful Woods
I like to find beautiful and special pieces of timber to create unique boxes. The lid of this box has a walnut feather figuring, which comes from a specific part of the tree, where the trunk splits into a number of branches. This wood is hard to work with, but very very beautiful and makes this box both unique and stunning.
