Commissioning a piece of furniture by Edward Wild
Every commission is a collaboration between the client and Edward, where ideas are turned into beautiful furniture. Each step of the process is both engaging and rewarding, from the very first discussions and pencil drawings, to the intricate craftsmanship of the final piece.
The commissioning process starts with a discussion, where the client’s ideas are developed into a series of pencil sketches, guided by Edwards portfolio of designs and an extensive range of wood samples and finishes.
These early hand-drawn sketches will be further developed into watercolour drawings, and then into technical designs to be presented to the client, before work starts on making the piece of furniture. Many clients return again and again to Edward to have further pieces of furniture created to their individual requirements.
